Brunton First School - Sir Robert McAlpine

External fencing and gate works to a new build school in the centre of a brand-new 1,200 acre sustainable urban development on the northern outskirts of Newcastle.

From the early stages of the project Steelcraft worked closely with the client to carry out a value-engineering exercise in order to meet a strict budget; the boundary fence was selected from our Portland and Oregon range which consists of light weight tubular infill designs.

As well as the Portland and Oregon fencing, we also provided weld mesh MUGA fencing; and play area bow top railings with self-closing gates. Additional works were carried out supplying stainless steel bollards and designing a secure outdoor toy store.

Work was carried out against a tight project timeline ensuring the school opened its doors in time for the start of the new school year.
